Re: braising aluminium general questions.

A long, long time ago, I welded (brazed) aluminum, using a torch and electrode that was heated and dipped into a can of flux. Re: drought

Sorry for not logging on sooner, I have been especially busy this construction season. I have a lot of personal goals I am working on, along with the work. I won't go thru the list, but it is very long. I've been away working much more than home, 6-8 weeks at a time, home for possibly a week, gone a...

Re: absent

Same here... Have had a huge work load this summer, almost all of it out of town, gone for multiple weeks at a time, home for a few days, then gone again. Working a deal to sell a duplex, working on an apt in a second one, working on my shop when I can (repairing freeze damage). Miss this place, got...

I prefer to rely on hand signals myself. I think drivers are more likely to see and recognize the arm in the air, than a small blinking light down low.
They are good for night time tho.

Re: La Puttana ------Build------ Ride her hard, Sell her Che

paint like yours is more interesting to me than others. You take a look, nothing unusual, but wait a minute, what's that deep inside?

A double take, start seeing the details.

I like that.

Subtle.

Re: La Puttana ------Build------ Ride her hard, Sell her Che

That is one outstanding piece of work. The basic frame sculpting really starts to show now that you've got color on it. I hate to think of how many hours you've got into this project but like most of us know it's all a labor of love for the craft and you're certainly a craftsman. +10 Huge thumbs up...

Re: Front engined VW

just went thru your build at the link...

I am floored by what you are doing. Not sure even HOW you know how to mix and match all those parts, or
even make it all work together.

Serious skills there.
