Thanks, Gearhead. Seem to recall that Buggy guys used a Bus trans-axle for lower gearing. But didn't know about the reversing option.

Trike looks great! Now, let me be the dumb-ass (didn't see anyone else ask), what did you do to get 4 forward gears when the engine/ trans is "backwards" as opposed to a V W Beetle? What am I missing? Seems like you'd have 4 speeds in reverse!

Curt, if you look on the JJ Search Super Super-glide and follow a few of the Links LilBil posted. One takes you to Primo Rivera and a how too using their stuff. You can see pretty much what has to happen. Bummer is you have to Notch the "New" tranny to clear the swing arm mounting ears. 2L...

Curt, Ill let you know how it goes. I know its been done. so far I don't have Much $$ tied up in it. And if turns in to too big a Pain I have a Chopper Guys Hard tail I can use it in.

Okay, I tried search and didn't have any luck. Hopefully someone who has been down this road can answer my ??s I put an S&S 98 cu.in. Shovel-head in my 75 FX frame. I decided to update to a 5 speed for three reasons.1.( One). the starters available are so much Ballsier than even the Best AM star...

Looks like a good plan Dan. We use 20 and 40 Foot containers for Shops in Alaska. They work Great! Hey Willy (2loose) glad to see you here!! Dan has a beautiful Knucklehead, that would look good alongside your Blown Panhead!
