Not the normal shape/style but it seems to fit the rest of the scooter.

Re: Front engined VW

But I did not have a tank to go with the re-style. The one I had made before was more of a fat cruiser style. This time going for a more chopper look. I tyred a couple shapes. Was originally leaning toward a bunch of flat sides. Not coffin shaped but more of a stealth fighter shape. Well.... It did ...

Re: Front engined VW

Working towards paint right now.

Fenders have been made up, blasted and a light coat of etching primer for quite a while. No body filler on these and the welds are just gonna show.

Re: Front engined VW

I have leaned it down and worked on the too high oil pressure.
Now it will rev up like crazy but now I gotta work on start up enrichment. Not enough fuel to cold start.
Nothing but run time and changing little numbers in boxes.

Re: Front engined VW

Loosening up. Changed the scaling between required fuel and 've table. Idles well now. The area between idle and the cam coming in is a bit blubbery, Not quite there yet. I have not had it much past 3500 but at 3000 it seems to clean up and want to scream. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B291Vwl-NH...

Re: Front engined VW

That was the very first start. A long ways to go on tuning yet. I have ran several warm up cycles now. Things are loosening up and settling in. Getting over the start up hots. Once the engine is run in enough (almost there) I will start tuning on it and chasing down the problems. No do not know abou...

Re: Front engined VW

So.
24 hrs in the cheap gas.
24hrs in the gas at the corner .
24hrs in the good gas across town.

And zilch.
No effect.
Of course there is no telling what there will be in gas in the future.

Re: Front engined VW

I am at 24hrs in the gas that is considered to be the worse here.
It is not even colored the same as the others.

Zero effect on the pot 15.

I suppose another 24 hrs in the gas I commonly run wouldn't hurt.
