Re: new biker build off

Yep.drama and pure ass stupidity! Although a couple of nice looking bikes have been built so far.
They are not sticking to the garage based builds either!

Re: Rocket Science and Chopper Building

Interestnig Topic! I know how to do all the math to help build something to the norm (I've been doing strutural steel drawings for longer than I want to remember, kinda boring). But what I really love is the art of fabrcation. To conjure up an image in my head and build it! Whether it be bikes, hotr...

Re: Spool gun on Hobart 140

See if Hobart makes a plastic liner for your mig gun and run aluminum wire with argon gas. Less than 140 amps will weld that thin stuff. Lot cheaper than a spool gun!

Re: 58 sporty project

Below are the two most commonly used tubings for frame fabrication. With a minimum of 0.120" wall thickness. Although bike frames have been built with all types of materials, including stainless, aluminum and chrome moly,(and I'm sure hrew and pipe!) you should stick with the norm, especially i...

Re: Lift table

You don't say what ram you have, except it is 3" with 14" stroke. Harbor freight has an 8 ton air over hydraulic ram and it will work your table with ease. They run less than $100.00. My tabe will lift an Ultra Glide converted to a trike with no problem using this ram.

Re: New computers

Helo there, not exactly sure what my nephew put in them for hardware. But he built them with all high end power components. He put in huge hard drives and max memory, i also just purchased from a high end auto cad designer the software that you can design everything from bike parts to car parts and...

Re: "Assembled" steering stem?

#1, I would not do this for a steering stem. You would probably wind up crushing the thin sleeve and threads on the bar, (if not when you press it together, over a short period from stress). It doesn't take much for steering to make an ill handling bike. Another note, no matter what the material is,...

Reverse for FLH 5 speed

Converting a 2003 Ultra into a trike for a guy. My question; does anyone have any experience with the reverse kits. I am not worried about the installation, it's the pros and cons of the electric versus the manual, that I would like to hear about.

Re: Wheel bearing lube

Anti sieze or lubriplate work well. Freeze your brgs for several hrs and heat hubs with a heat gun right before installation. All helps!
