Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!

looking awesome as usual.
I had a question about the control you made for the idle.
Seems to me, would use a screwdriver and set it once and leave it.
But I must be thinking of something else .
Looking forward to the youtube startup vid :auto-biker:

Re: Hello from Albuquerque

I want to thank you for the welcome. I know this forum is not as active as others, but quality replaces quanity anyday. I just hope I can add to the forums as a valid contributor. I have a thread coming up. I have to agree that the skill set needed must be learned, I know my current skill sets help,...

Re: Dusty's Bonneville Scout Build

Yes I have it. Do you have any trips to ABQ on your agenda?
They are in 4' chunks and can cut 12" off of each.

Not sure if I can help with the aluminium, I do have some 4"x4", 1"x6", 4"round and several drop offs.
Let me know if you need something.

Hello from Albuquerque

Looks like as good of place as any to say hello. I do not own a motorcycle at this time. 53 years old and has been almost 20 years since I have rode a bike. Have a silly health issue that has kept me from working for the last 2 years, and am going on social security disability. As soon as they get t...

Re: drought

I don't consider either project as having any technical significance that anybody could learn from so I don't bother to list the work on this site. You would be surprised at who can sneak through the door, and what they can learn. But I can also agree, I have a thread on another site, me cutt...

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!

What a excellent way to use the heim's, they fit so well in the industrial look of the bike. Glad to see others are out in the shop besides me, working off the turkey and pie  Nathan, I already have you on fb as Fred Larsen. I use my real name not the fool name. And working on a introductory ...

Re: braising aluminium general questions.

Thank you for the reply, and a vote for strength. I also asked in a welding forum to see what they thought. They had this link http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?46803-Aluminum-Brazing-Options Just in case anyone else would be interested in it. I am going to try it and see for myself how long it w...

braising aluminium general questions.

I am building a set of mirrors, using 1/8" aluminium, I need to attach a aluminium block to the back of the mirror. This will have the drilled 3/8" thread, for the rod to mount to the bars. I can just drill holes through the 1/8 plate and counter sync the flat head the screws. Problem is, ...

Re: Fractured Lacerations - Build - I Broke my Knife!

Dude I love the inspiration you have given me from not just this build, but your other builds also. And your picture on face book with you and your daughter, it is precious and you need to get a hard copy of it before your computer crashes and you lose it. Hang it on the wall! So I have not rode for...
