Re: Proposed social media outlets and management.

thank you, dave, for the link! i'll head over there as soon as I can and setup an account with your site. I'm still working on email accounts for the social media sites and hard at work with my other projects. I so wish one of those projects was my own custom bike. Sigh. just tried to setup an accou...

Re: Proposed social media outlets and management.

That's ok and very cool. yeah, I generally shy away from it for personal use but I thought it'd be a good idea for the forum and the main website. I'll have to visit your site as well.

Proposed social media outlets and management.

Hey guys. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone visits this forum anymore. I'm proposing that I open a social media account such as Twitter and maybe some other ones to help bring in users. I wanted to post this proposal to get your approval and I'll give it 3 days to see if anyone responds and if no an...

Re: Hard drive crash

I use a solid state drive in my laptop here and I don't really have any worries about crashes plus I use a cloud service and a home server for backups and storage. but i do make sure i've got backups of everything i've got.

now hold on a minute, did you say 'carbon fiber?'

yeah, i totally did, dude! now before anyone goes off and scratches their head about this one, let me tell you what i've come across in my time away from the board and during my travels and tons of internet searching. most people building motorcycles, whether in a shop or in a factory, use metal to ...

Re: Don't know if this is of interest to others, concrete lathe

oh wow! i've never seen a CNC mill made from concrete! that's pretty wicked. but, one caveat. i think getting the necessary holes for everything would be a total bitch to keep on tolerance since it's concrete. sure, it's a great idea and i'm sure that's got some good stability and resistance to temp...

man, i do miss having my copy of the machinist's handbook. i also had a CNC programming book that was stellar. I can't think of the name of it at the moment but I'll look it up and edit this comment when I get the information.
