build a girder the same way and use short sections of tubing in the drilled holes and it will drastically improve the strength of the unit ( welded in tubing should be less than the width of the strips used to make the sides from ) ! Sand blast it and it would be hard to tell it from a casting !

A 110 will work (just) if you pay strict attention to procedure and prep ! You know the drill , properly clean the parts , get the bevel/gap right , appropriate filler , and PREHEAT THE WELD AREA !! Just a thought , If you are going to put any real mileage on that creation you might consider a "stone deflector" grill on that radiator ! Good lookin' build , bet it looks better in paint !!
