For instance, you cannot ride a late model motorcycle without a helmet, BUT you cannot wear a helmet in a car BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE - the helmet blocks your hearing and vision. Except that the VAST majority of head injuries happen IN CAR ACCIDENTS. So...

Re: Insurance laws
Umm... those "brown" people have ancestors ON THIS GROUND going back 23,000 years. They have a little different idea as to who is "illegal" here. Suggestion; we'll drop this and go back to building motorcycles. Wotcha think? No politics, all motorcycles all day. Remember: If you ...

Question {hypothetical situation}: So I put my 1991 ironhead Knuckster up for sale. Success! Six years later the ad's still up. Is there a way to delete that? I've seen a couple things I'd be interested in if they hadn't been sold long ago.

Insurance laws
Here in WA the legislature slid thru a modification to the insurance laws; as of July 28 MOTORCYCLES fall under the same requirements as CARS. Which I don't mind, as I've carried insurance for years. Trouble is, THEY NEVER POSTED THIS ANYWHERE. Until July 28 motorcycles are exempt; after, the State ...

Re: approaching car at intersection
Hey, Curt; Yes, I have noticed. And I do feel better after... As for riding in traffic; I just operate on the basis that they're all out to get me, but some of them don't know it yet. This has led me to become quite aggressive in my riding. Membership in a club exacerbated this tendency. Remember; t...

Re: A Frike!!
I first saw this ride in HOT ROD Magazine in late '69. THIS is the ride that turned me on to choppers. UPDATE: Ryan, at Count's Kustoms in Las Vegas, was commissioned to replicate the paint job either late last year or early this year; it was featured a couple {ish} months ago on an episode of "...
