There is no problem with the strength , but some of these rods can be a significantly different shade of "silver" than the alloy that you are brazing to when polished ! You can counter that somewhat by carefull assembly and using minimal rod for the job !

Use multiple mount areas , create struts between two points that you think need to share the load , THINK and do your research and ask as many questions as you have to !

Do a little research on the Vincent motorcycle ! Remove the engine/trans and all that is left is a small pile of parts that constitute the "frame" !!

Extend the spring fork legs out so that the rockers you have are parallel to the ground ! What you have now allows NO vertical movement of the wheel that don't come from the flex of the rigid fork legs !!

you could make a primitive , one off jig to establish your parameters and another to hold the parts in alignment for welding ! If you look into the section covering jigs and also the project build section you will get a better idea of what I am talking about !!

look at a car clutch disc and note how strong the coil springs are that make up their compensator !!
