most compression gauges have a schrader valve in the end of the hose where it threads into the spark plug home so that the gauge will hold the reading until you release the pressure. I still check in here almost every day. On another note, yesterday as I was putting My bike away for the winter I noticed that I had put over 39,000 miles on it since I finished it. I guess I should ride it more!

I have a pair just about exactly like that. I bought them from the Matco tool dealer. They work very well.
