I've done some ordering from Speedway. Nice prices and great to deal with. The speed shops here have a big head attitude as well as prices. I've done some ordering from Speedway. Nice prices and great to deal with. The speed shops here have a big head attitude as well as prices. 9' Fords can be had here at a good price. Ever use a bolt on rear caliper kit for a GM or Ford? I have a Mustang single pot mc and a booster to use for the back...

If ya have a big shop, access to all the machinery etc. It makes it a lot easier. Kinda hard to being a one man band in building these things. BUT, that is the interesting (or imagination) part of it. :dance: Mine might not look like one that five or ten peoiple got in one..BUT it's mine from start ...

Should be a good combination..
Lots of plans and ideas out their for V8's

I have a fresh built 350ci 350hp motor,400 turbo and a 12 bolt GM rear end out of a Suburban just waiting for me to get started on.

Not really..new things come along every day.
Ya build something, someone sees it and new and improves it when they build something.
Big thing is not to build something that will be unsafe..
I've had to repair more cobbled up welds, bad fabrication than I care to talk about.

Yeah , I knew a guy back in the '70s that mated a corvair engine to a VW trans and triked it ! Since he had to create an adaptor anyway he used the one he made to gap the engine about 18" ahead of the trans and made the whole assembly a stressed member of the frame ! When/if he wheelied it was...

Know what ya mean..lots of difference in the balance.

Took this pis of a mid-engine a few monts ago.
Thought that it had a nice layout.

I found a set of 12" wide steel chrome rims with a VW bolt pattern.
Kinda wide at the back. (real wide) and tis long. :drool:
