Re: Missing old members

So, just to let folks know, it seems some fake fact checkers on FB have had their feelings hurt too many times by the truth, as espoused by me. :D :D :D (I was recently told by someone they think of me as having no filter!) I was kicked off last year, and informed I had to provide a gov issued ID to...

Victory Library for tech info

I searched for evo motor rod dimensions today. Found the following library... I needed the rod length and the width at the large crank pin end. http://victorylibrary.com/main_menu.htm The 2 pages I accessed originally were these 2... http://victorylibrary.com/tech/ratio.htm This has Harley-Davidson ...

A receiver hitch, hmmm. Thinking Power Tour?
700R4 is a great tranny. Can cruise highways and still have low end grunt.

I have an AMX project with a similar rear end set up.

Re: Modifying a double oven

Nice job of modifying that oven. The rim looks great. Have you tried using the translucent brass over clean polished steel? I've been collecting parts to build an oven. Robbing heating elements and controllers from old ovens. I'm considering making 2 large sheet metal panels, insulating with fibergl...

Re: welding fins

Good advice from Dave about building out a layer at a time. And files work well on alum if no room for a disc or wheel. I've used a thin cut off wheel for tight places, but I was being careful to not put much pressure on it. They come apart real easy. See if you can find out the alloy of the fins. E...

Re: Shout out to Railroad Bob

Man, that's a nice 31 Don. Perfect stance. Are those ARE wheels? They fill the rear wheel well perfectly. They have a lot of cool designs. SBC looks like. Bet it's a blast. And some folks believe no rod is ever completed. There is always something being worked on. Main thing is you're driving it and...

Shot in the dark here, but Wheels Through Time have done a lot of restorations of all makes.
Dale passed last year, but I think his son is still operating everything.

Might contact them as a reputable source of info.

Also, the diameter of the CR cap is 0.510, so I'll be looking for a larger cap to fit over that, to use for a lever system to operate the release.

I will give that and an unused CP piston to Terry Stewart. He said he will use that to find the best r...
