this what i started with. this bar is centered on the rear leg. so the center of the bar is about 18 inches. now when i bring back the stem it should be around 8 inches or so. i am by no means a mathamagician and i'm pretty much flying by the seat of my pants.but the way i figure it at 18 inches of ...

got this 40 over springer the other day. got to find a frame then stretch it 4 out and 8 up with about a 55 degree rake. trail should be about 15 inches. that's good right? (sarcasm)

you could weld a bung in the stem so you could use your jamb bolt. i would feel safer if the bottom yoke was one piece and then welded to the bottom of the stem.
