Re: 1960 FL 'Local Boy'
A couple of pix from the "Early Page" , there are more pix there.... The frame I want to use, a '59 drop seat swing arm. Mostly "unmolested", need to open up the seat post for a pogo stick. http://www.wheelsmaui.com/UserFiles/Image/60FLproject/59_frame_01s_Oct_2013.jpg Stacked th...

1960 FL 'Local Boy'
This is a trial run with some new software, wanted to post some of the early stuff on this project, but didn't get it ready, so will have to add it later. The story is I have a lot of panhead parts hanging around in my shop and storage shed, and now that I'm retired from the daily work schedule, can...

Re: Aloha, another new guy
..............as for forks on the '62, i think a nice set of narrow girder forks would be the bees' knees on it. or i could equally see a super narrow and long springer..... I almost did, I have this old Paughco I cleaned up and black powder coated, it'd look good on that '62.... http://www.mauipyl...

Re: Aloha, another new guy
OK, I need some advice from Dan or whoever, as I'm working sorta slow on these five projects I have going (some of you folks amaze me with how fast you can put a project bike together !!), when I start posting over in the "Project Build-Logs" area, maybe start only one thread, and just pos...

Re: Busted Rubber - The Unwanted Child- Build
As I've just discovered this forum, I've had a lot of fun reading up on some of the threads, but your build thread just got my full attention, and read it thoroughly from the beginning. That's an awsum build you did, the drawing of the girder layout showed how the trail is pulled back to a reasonabl...

Re: Chopping a garage
When I first bought my empty lot here on Maui, it was an overgrown half acre lot, but with power and water... I did what you did, put a couple 24' shipping containers on it, after renting a D6 and clearing and grading it... Then built a 20' x 40' shop with a bathroom, and we lived in it while I buil...

Aloha, another new guy
Just registered, so thought I'd introduce myself. The name's Willy, and I use the handle "2Loose" (an old family nick name) on a variety of hot rod and bike forums. I'm a Maui boy, 72, been around awhile, have always built all my own stuff, and have had 4 wheel hot rods of various types in...
