- SELF INTRODUCTION: So,...I guess I'm a newb. Can I get my "General Smart-Ass" moniker back, or do I actually have to build something. Like a chopper for example. I am hoping to re-start a build that's been sitting in my shop for a couple years with most of the parts already acquired.
Just wanted to thank Dan and anyone else involved in getting this board up and running.
Dan is a personal friend of mine and one of the finest people I know. I have a world of respect for him, not just for his work here but also for reasons beyond this forum.
Not sure if that's 200 words, but that's my intro and I'm sticking to it.
BTW, I'm Mark. Not Indian, just a fanatic of the motorcycle brand.
gearing up ....again
So, I've got a chopper project that I started sometime during the Roosevelt administration I think. I haven't abandoned it or anything, just well, you know...life gets in the way. Last winter I was doing side jobs like a crazy man so I could afford a new(ish) HD Road King. This winter I'm planning a full assault on my neglected chop. Really this time. I can't do anything until November, but after that.... Anyway, I got a line on a 110inch S&S that's still in the crate. A friend of mine (Rob at Grease Rag Customs) is in a building that used to be another custom bike shop. The owner still has a few frames, motors etc that never got used. I don't think he'll let it go for what I'd really like to pay for it, but I'm hoping a deal can be worked out. I'll keep you all posted.

-experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
