More Old Guys

One more Old Guy here....

Like many on this forum, I've been into bikes as far back as I can remember...
Started out on a 52 Wizard, and from there it went on and on...

Kinda ironic that the first Harley that I bought is also a 52....
I'm still riding it, although over the years I have chopped it three times....

Looking forward to chatting with all about Bike builds, Motor Builds and what have you...

Thanks for having me aboard.....

...Jesse

Oh... Haven't gotten the hang of posting photos here yet... But for a look-see at the 52 and a few others.... Go here.... http://www.dragstews.com

Good standing member over on the Honda rebel forum and TCU forum. My first chopper build was a Honda Rebel 250. Looking for a big brother to it. A Honda Rebel 450. I'm wanting to build a girder for the 250 and was told that this is the place to come for knowledge and help.

Thanks....

Oh, that bike with the Turbo isn't the 52...
It's not even a Panhead...That's a build I did from a S&S 96" Super Stock Evo motor with dummy Pan covers.
I called it "The 48 lookalike"

This is the 52.....

Killer work.

I will not lie I know less than nothing about harleys let alone old ones.

Not saying I do not want to chop one if I get the cash for a bike or a motor to wrap a frame around.

I like to learn new things.

I am a punk kid with a welder, grinder, too much time and never enough money.

I just get real cheap bikes and try to make something out them if I can get them to run.

Much Respect to you for the iron you have and can ride.

Maybe I can learn from you as I hope to trip across a knuckle, shovel, pan motor someday?

Hey Jesse (DragStews),
Welcome aboard, lookin' forward to chattin' w ya over here....
I'm usin' Firefox, and do pix this way....
Re the pix, if'n ya can find the url for the pic, usually sometin' like:
But without the parenthesis there at the front,
or some such, then just put the Image after it, and it will post the pix....

When I see a pic online somewhere I wanna use in a post here,
like maybe there's one on one of my own pages, and this is the page address;
http://www.wheelsmaui.com/content/54078 ... ect_2.html
that opens up the page,
then I right click on the pic itself,
and click on "view image"....
That brings up just the pic by itself, and in the browsers url box above has the address of
just that pic itself, for example:
http://www.wheelsmaui.com/UserFiles/Ima ... ug2014.JPG
That's the address of just the pic, which is what I need to get it to post cleanly here on my post....

So, putting that whole address for the pic between the "Image"
on one of these pages, sticks a clean image of that here on this page, like this:
Image
Some forums offer that service when posting , like this one does, when writing your post
just above the posting window is a whole bunch of various options for posting, and "img" is there among
them, but I just usually am in the habit of typing in the "img" instructions....

Right clicking, and pic viewing, on one of the pix on your website gave me this:
http://www.dragstews.com/pictures/Start ... gether.jpg
so sticking that between the img instructions does this:
Image
That's a beautiful motor you put together, by the way....
Gotta run, great to see you over here....
Willy
The faster I go, the behinder I get....
I never look over my shoulder, I know what's back there, and it scares the hell outta me !!

Much thanks again for the warm welcome here Guys, and the info for posting photos

Image

Dang... It works .. !!

Well..... Perhaps not...

I think I will need to use photobucket for posting photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yo, 2-Losse ....
That photo you posted is a 100 Power Plus motor from the Gilroy (Ake CMC) Boys Indian Chef ....

Image

Did some Hot-Rodding to it from the Get-Go... Bike had about 1200 miles on it since new..
It had a huge bore from the factory at 3-13/16 already...What I did was add a bit more stroke, taking it up to 109 cubes... J&E made me some pistons that move the pin up...
While I was inside it ... Also added some other goodies like a Lieneweber cam, Jims hydro-solid lifters, S&S roller rocker arms, reworked the heads, stuff like that....

Dang thing would pull second gear wheelies doing a power shift to second gear... until the stock clutch went... Installed a Pro-Clutch

I also stuck a name on that bike..... PT 109 ....

Last I heard the owner sold it to a Guy on the East Coast ... He was from Oregon ....
Got a call from the new owner awhile back wanting to know what all I did to the bike...
It was a long conversation... He said it's still running great, with over 40,000 miles showing on the clock...

Yeah, they gotta be on the 'net somewhere, so's that img instruction can go find 'em and then
show the pix here. That's why I like to use my own server space at wheelsmaui.com instead
of one of the commercial spaces like photobucket....
