Thread looks good!
I will see if the dimension is online somewhere, otherwise I really do not want to take this apart again.
Somehow we will figure this out!

Drawing looks amazing. That should help a few guys out there.

here is a pic of it perhaps 95% completed. Just the frame to rear end brackets to make and caliper mount.

That thing looks amazing!!!!!

I have tried to find diemension for the carrier have you had any luck??

I really do not want to post/release the drawing and have several mad bikers looking for me because that diemension is off and they ruined $$$$$$ in aluminum billet!!!

Probably best to leave that dimension off till we figure out a way to get it...nothing worse than pissed off bikers hahaha.

Little change of plans and decided to go with this caliper. Will end up being cleaner looking.

Man this thing is amazing!!!

I have chewed my finger nails off waiting for you to post more of this eye candy!!!!

What did the caliper cost???

Why would the other not work??

By looking at your housing/carrier housing the right side in print steps down after the bolt length??

Is that true or am Iseeing it wrong?

You get those diemensions if the case and I will add them!!

Caliper cost 115.00 new with pads...the other I was going to use would of been 35.00 plus 27.00 for pads and been flat black. So I went with this one...other would just need a different mount made up.

Good eye on the step down...I didn't even catch it. Its merely cosmetic though, the important part is for the carrier to fit. I didn't even remember doing that but its only for the eye appeal.

Got the cut files for the steel bracket back from a fellow member here. Thanks Wendell
Hopefully they will be cut this week. Also got the caliper in and will be making up the mounting bracket this coming week.

I remember as a small child riding with my father as he was driving an old mid '20s "T" home after buying it !

It had an external band brake on the axle pinion that worked just fine ... Until one rear wheel lost traction while braking hard on a wet red clay and gravel road and began spinning BACKWARDS at the same rpm as the other wheel was turning resulting in NO BRAKING AT ALL untill that wheel found traction again !

I heard a few new cuss words that day and I have to say my father was very profane as a rule ! It was a a long time before I even knew what those new words meant (other than a sore bottom if my mom or granma if heard me using them )

SELF INTRODUCTION: I was on the last board as bonustoolkit. I have changed that to my given name.
I started a project build there " File and Fit." I paln to continue that when I go back home in Dec. 2011. I first joined the board when Gary W had it in the year 2005. That was the time I really gained an interest in building chops. I have a long way to go, compared to some here.

Thanks for the great details.

Do you bolt it on right here , or further forward?

Hiya Hans,

Nope not a bolt on...this would require either modifications to an existing frame or in my case I will build a frame to work with this. That part will probably be a 2014 thing though
