More progress, finished drilling plates for mounting the ram. Need to do some fabrication of one plate to get it ready to weld up to the mounting bracket on ram, thick plate so need to bevel for real good solid penetration. :D Once that's all done then figure out best way to mount bender on table or vise not sure yet.

I purchased some square tubing 4ft long 2by2 and metal plate, making the jd2 bender solid mounting. I have some heavy duty pallets that I am considering mounting it on. :D

Hey guys and gals, used heavy duty pallet to mount my jd2 bender on. Should work good since the bender is now air hydraulic, less stress on mounts when bending. :D

Hey guys and gals, well been trying to mount my jd2 bender on steel pole. I noticed my ram does not function properly laying flat mounted, it only works standing straight up. So figuring out best way to mount the bender on pole so ram will work properly and be able to load tubing , never easy. :D

I've got some better plans for a new version of my bender than you might be able to use with your ram. Send me an email.

Thanks Gary, I had to change my bender mounting because my ram only works when in almost straight up mounting. It does not build up pressure mounted straight across the way I was hoping to mount. My email Is trejones@shaw.ca

Almost all of the less expensive rams and air/hydraulic benders only operate if they are on a slight incline. Take a look at http://chopperhandbook.com/vertbender.htm as it will give you some suggestions about how best to take advantage of your new setup.

Completed the air hydraulic conversion on my jd2 model three bender build, I have only one die size 1 1/8" 4.5clr. Need to purchase 1" die and 1 1/4" die, so going to order some tube for the die I have so I can do some practice bends. :D
