I'm trying to decide which of the two tube benders posted on the main page that I should build. The original JD2 model or the CBH model. Is there an appreciable capability difference between the two? I noticed that the JD2 unit drawing specifies that it is set up for 4.5" CLR dies, but can it use other radius dies?

This gent (Steve) has been around a long time.

Thats the style I built, a bit different but same style, i dont have a decent pic so i wasent going to comment, I like it as the tube stays level and I use a magnetic angle finder. The only thing is it only does a 90 or a bit more, mine has a big base and is portable yet very stable..I am kind of thinking of building another one of a different style just for fun and makeing my own die on the lathe..the first one I bought the dies from pro tools

I have a horizontal bender at present.

It works O.K.

I think this one looks interesting. Seems very compact, & I probably would not be bending past 90*

Can not beat my air operated hyd pump driven bender but i got it in a hell of a deal!

I got a manual I will never use JD2 no dies? where you at?
