Gary I rrelized I did not awnser one of your questions earlier.

You told us about how dual shocks act one following the other unless tuned shocks.

I have been building single shock systems because of that?

All the bikes are light compared to Harleys thou.

Everything I use to build these was based on your teachings and also help from kyrmis.

This should be the final design.

All seen issues have been repaired.

The front lower link fork mount no longer is welded directly to the leg and now has a tube welded to the front leg.

The fork leg is no longer has a smaller rake than the neck rake angle.

Changes had to happen to repair these conditions of last fork design.

1. New 4.5 in links will be made to pull top pivot point back on legs in relationship to front wheel spindle.
2. Trail was changed from 3.5 in to 3 in trail to push front wheel out away from top fork link.
3. 12.25 in length shock will be used instead of the 12.5 in shock.

The new trail is 3in.
Ground height compressed is 4.6246
Extended or compressed the trail changes to 3.272 from 3 in ride height
The total distance of fork travel is 3.0782
It looks to be a perfect fit after the jam nut and bearing preload for a 12.25 in shock.
Max shock width will be smaller at 2.5152 in unless smaller thickness top fork spacers are made then max shock width will be 2.6514.

Here are your trees to build.

Please check the holes in the top and bottom trees are correct with your spindle.

The bottom is 17.3 mm in print?

The top is 15 mm in print because I believe that is your minor diameter of your threads you need to turn your spindle/neck shaft down to for the clamp?

Here is a metric to decimal converter to check me?
mm to inches - millimeters conversion

Build these and your neck shaft unit complete. Then we can adjust the link lengths to be perfect for your total travel of your shock so not to over travel and hit lower tree.

It would not hurt to buy a set of 12.25 in shocks and also check the opening for the shock in top tree to be correct size with them.

I added 1/2 in holes for handlebar risers if you decide to bolt handlebars on instead of weld them to top tree. Use Grade 8 bolts allen here if you want them.

The large circles around the neck shaft holes show the neck in relationship to the trees.

Desided to go ahead and build a solid stem. That way I can go with a better bearing setup. This will allow me to run a 24mm bearing not only in the bottom. But in the top side also.

Drilled a few holes. (2) 1/2" for risers, (2) 1/4" to give me an inside radius for my cut & a 1/2" pilot hole for the stem.
