SELF INTRODUCTION: I'm from Arkansas. Farm equipment mechanic. Love working on bikes with my 7yr old daughter. Single dad. Doing it all on my own. Good standing member over on the Honda rebel forum and TCU forum. My first chopper build was a Honda Rebel 250. Looking for a big brother to it. A Honda Rebel 450. I'm wanting to build a girder for the 250 and was told that this is the place to come for knowledge and help.

This bike tops out at between 65 and 70 mph. It cruises comfortably at 50 to 55 mph. I would have to be cutting up to get a speeding ticket with it. But it is possible to get one. LOL

Can't just show all the good. Must show the bad also. Will be building a new set of legs. Welds were not as good as I wanted them to be. Took them to someone I thought would do a good job due to me not having a 220 welder. Hey it happens.
Didn't look right in a couple spots so I went digging to inspect penatration. This is what I found. Thought about grinding and rewelding. But just going to rebuild. A peace at mind thing.

Bottom link made. Now I can work in the table with them. Bottom link will be welded to the bars. Then molded in or trimmed up for a cleaner look.

Going with Alpha Dress Blue Uniform. Spend 8 years in the service. 4 years Blue side (Navy) and 4 years Green side (USMC).
I did all the layout for the lettering (because I was doing the lettering myself). He did the rest. Learned a lot from this. Next time let the Engraver do it all. He he he
Received these pictures from the engraver this weekend. Valve cover's not done yet.
