I want to build a Spirder for a frame I built. I am starting from scratch and I have a basic understanding of the parts needed and how they go together. I am able to machine the parts and I have a design for the triple trees that I made, but there are some details I am missing about the triple trees that have me stumped. For instance, does the stem top nut compress against the top triple tree and the top bearing? If this is the case, should the top tree bore be a tight fit around the stem to eliminate play?
I have more questions about Spirders but I will start with these since I need the triple trees first.
