loss of brake pressure
Hey guys,

I am having an issue I have never had before. I have bleed 100's of systems thru the years, but this one just makes no sense.

Rear line, 4 piston Wilwood caliper, standard HD softail Master cylinder, pressure switch for brake line inline.

No matter how much I bleed this thing, I cannot keep pressure. if you spike the pedal, it has great pressure and grabbbing power, but if you gently push the pedal, it sink to the bottom w/ zero resistance. If spiked, it will hold also, no bleed down/ sink.

Light works when spiked, but not when pushed slowly?

Any ideas?

I have bleed and bleed, no air is coming thru, it solid clean fluid.

Been considering a Pheonix tool bleeder, but never needed one B4?

Look to the MC....something is letting fluid bleed past the seals .... do these Mc's have a bypass built in ..... ???

ive had that problem on the front useing the small master 9/16 switched to 11/16 was fine but i have noticed sometimes useing harley brake parts with aftermarket can sometimes do that might think about switchin to a better master let us kno what u find

Do you have a recommended MC that fits FLST floorboard mounts? 1996 style floorboards?

Might be the seals. It's not unknown for 'soft' seals to get past quality control.

im not sure floorbords are a definate pain in the ass cause your locked in to the master that attaches to the frame unless u make a custom bracket then you can run about anything you want

Must have been a Monday or Friday MC. fragments of crap in it. Rebuilt the MC and got the best brakes I have ever had on a scoot.
