Dougie's 82 Yamaha XS400 Maxim build

Recently bought an 82 XS400 Maxim from a friend of mine for $500. Thinking on building a springer front end, lacing up a custom set of spoked wheels (ditching the aluminum ones), converting the rear end to a disc brake system, if possible, and a few other odds and ends. For the time being, it's all in the research stage.

Bike's sitting in a friend's garage in Noblesville, IN right now, Jeff, but I'll be out there Friday/Saturday working on getting it running, most likely. Pictures will follow. Much like my username, It's gonna be a Low-dough broke-ass bike build.
I'm with you, I love spoked rims.
