Sorry Friend!

Got the filters done.
Welded 8 pieces together and put on rotary table. Milled the centers out and drilled for 6 bolt holes.

Image

Image

Milled the outer size.

Image

Image

Cleaned up with a air grinder.

Image

Took a new Fram filter I have had laying around here for years.

Image

Cut it open with grinder and razor wheel for materials.

Image

Made the screens from it.

Image

Welded nuts to the back of the inside rings.

Image

Welded these rings inside the tubes.

Image

Cut the filter material from Fram filter to shape.

Image

It is held between two screens.

Image

Installed on the bike.

looking awesome as usual.
I had a question about the control you made for the idle.
Seems to me, would use a screwdriver and set it once and leave it.
But I must be thinking of something else .
Looking forward to the youtube startup vid :auto-biker:

It is a set it once and leave it screw.

But, on a sport bike they put it on a cable to the plastic side cover so, you do not have to remove the cover to adjust the idle.

Instead of tucking the cable away I made the bracket so the cable is functional and not a hidden after thought.

Still a few things to build before the start. I am sure ready for it too! Will be 2 inchs snow or a ice storm my luck the day I fire her up?

Stamped all the rings for the pods. Ground and cleaned, bead blasted the insides of housings. Tapped and blocked off the emissions on valve cover. Vacuum cap on #2 carb for the vacuum fuel shut off. Received and installed my new fuel shut off valves.

On my ninja there is 2 vents. I have been informed this is the crank case vent for this motor. So will have to screw a muffer vent in where I thread the cap.

And THANK YOU!
