I the bottom rails were also wbay to wide. I could have used spacers, but wanted a cleaner look. I made up new bottom rails that were only as wide as the motor mounts.Bent some new down tubes

Once that was done, I figured I might as well change the seat post & made gussets for the neck

What's it gonna take to get this engine running? It looks a little hollow.
Inquiring minds want to know.

It’s a lot easier to put it in & out of the frame empty. The engine has been under my bench for about 10 years, thought it best to see what the insides looked like. All looks good, haven’t measured anything yet. Hopefully it will be a piston & bearing type thing.

some more work on the frame. Now to make the axle plates. The last pic show the shape of & hopefully how the rear wheel will pivot giving me a little rear suspension. Ill be mounting shocks on the seat rails.

I got the plates made up & tacked on. Mocked up the wheel to see how it looked. Not sure if I will use shocks like this or go with a regular type shock. Last pic shows the deflection from vertical. 1" at 6" of total travel, but really not looking for much. Just enough to soften the ride a little.

Its been a while since Ive updated this. I made the swing arms from aluminum. Bought a chunk of nylon to make 1/16 thrust washers from. I milled a little under that from the arms. Also installed oil-lite bushings for the axle & shocks.

Have you ever made something, stepped back & said...yeaahh...I like that? Well thats exactlly what I did when I finalized on the seat mount. Right after that I went to put the oil tank back in & it didnt fit....WTF...I didnt want to change it cause like I said I really liked it. So I cut a piece out of the middle of the tank & welded it back together.....all good
