SELF INTRODUCTION: Hi Dan, thanks for your time and energy spent on this new board. I hope you will give me a waiver on the email account, I have used gmail so long I don't have a clue what my service provider account is.
I just returned home from a 2 week trip in New Mexico, have a few good pix, can't wait to share my off-highway traveling. Got to put 1400 miles on the scoot.

S&S Carb

Post by railroad bob » Thu May 16, 2013 8:37 am

I have a S&S Super E shorty carb. It's missing a part, the rod or tube coming off the accelerator pump inoto the float chamber.
There are a couple other parts that need replacing. A new carb is about $510 on the S&S site.

Anyone have a cheaper source for this carb? I don't really want to use a different type.

Thanks.

you should be able to order any parts you need for the carb from jp cycles way cheaper than a new carb

TripleXXX carbs in Texas...S&S specialists, I have done business with Bob for a couple years, they are great...I have a 1975 S&S sidebowl GAL, jets for it are almost impossible to find, used ones on Ebay go for 200.00, Bob makes brand new ones shipped for 27.00. He can get any part or repair any S&S made. I realize this is a bit late, but maybe it will help someone else.
Blessings,
