Thought I would start a listing of Powder Coat sites so the info doesn't get lost as newer threads take the forefront in the different topics.

These forks were rusted chrome that I sandblasted until all of the rust was gone and the chrome that remained appeared frosty then powder coated with a 2 stage from Prismatic Coatings. Even on close inspection with a glass you cant pick out where the chrome started and stopped. The spring and links were a rough finish two stage. Hardest part was getting the grease to stop seeping out of the bushing bores, lacquer thinner and 400 degree preheat 6 times before coating.

They have some wild Color combos with thier 2Stage.I was kind of disspointed with thier Super Chrome. The Chrome looked real nice till I Cleared it.The Clear took most of the shine out.I called about it, thinking it was something I did.I got well we're working on that. This is what the final looks like

Yeah I don't know of anything that looks as much like chrome as chrome. But their chrome with one of the tinted clears can be way cool.

NIC industries have the largest selection of powder coatings bar none. The clear over the chrome is a bummer. For the best results on chrome i have found Prismatics ultra chrome with All Powder Paints clear. Thats as close to chrome that I have ever gotten
