Irish's CBH CR200
I started (again) on the new chop this past week. I got the seat post x-member and seat post fish-mouthed and cut, and also mitered the rear wishbones. I'm using the blueprint from the CBH for the CR-200 (Custom Rigid) with wide rear wheel. I'm using a 1.5" backbone instead of the 1.25". I...

I vote for the HD because you can get that bike on road sooner.

Re: Master Painter Passes Away
Sorry to hear bout Mr. McCann's passing. That sporty is for sure a Ness bike. That's the style he started. I really dig the gold and silver leaf paint jobs.Early Iron wrote:Yes he was one of the best here's a pic of him back in the old days.

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project
I sold this bike back in 2010. I just this past weekend set up my tube bender and drug my jig out and cleaned it off. I'm going to build another frame. My brother just found me a really nice old springer with a mini drum front wheel. I'll be starting another build thread sometime soon. I'm going to ...

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project
The next change I made was to switch over to foot shift from the jockey/suicide clutch set-up. I welded a bracket onto the frame to hold the end of the clutch cable and switched the lever on the trans for a cable type. I installed a Jaybrake clutch lever to match the front brake m/c on the other sid...

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project
Version 3 changes were not much, but it changed the look quite a bit: Changed out the sissy bar for some hotrod style drilled struts that I whipped up, pillion removed and some bronze bits for the engine and air filter. 2009_0823version3-1.JPG 2009_0823version3-2.JPG 2009_0823version3-3.JPG 2009_082...

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project
Thanks hoser! I thought I'd better get back on here and see what's up. I'm going to keep updating this until it's complete. I'll post pictures of versions 2, 3, and 4. Or should it changed be 2.0, 3.0.... ;) The only real changes I made were: a new fuel tank with a tunnel, it's the same style Sports...

Re: New Magizine
I sent Gary my article on the bike I built here a few years ago, my old school chopper built using the CBH. That is what inspired me to re-build my build thread. BTW I still need to write the final chapter of my build thread. I just got a new computer after my old one shit the hard drive, so I'm bac...

Re: Irish's CBH Old School Chopper Project
I rode the bike to the 2007 Horse Smoke Out 8 in Salisbury, NC and camped for a couple days. The night before I left I painted some yellow panels on the tank. I had the tank pinstriped by a guy called Jaybird at the show. I met some cool folks and had a blast P1010001.JPG Jaybird striping my tanks H...
