Re: now hold on a minute, did you say 'carbon fiber?'
I know this thread is getting kinda old but if this helps http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/ I have done biz with these guys before and they carry pretty much everything you may need for such a project.

Re: My CBH Bender Build
I've now almost got a bender, I finally hooked up with some one who could turn that big hunk of steel so it was round and had a groove in the edge. I already had the drive pin holes marked and center punched and the lines to cut the big wedge shape out of it, so when I got it back form the guy with ...

Re: My CBH Bender Build
Time for an update, progress has been slow because I can't do a whole lot at once since I got crashed into last winter. Anyway here's where I'm at so far. This is the mistake I made that I mentioned earlier http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag302/drivermark/th_004_zpsxvfcmqdj.jpg The only hole tha...

Re: My CBH Bender Build
A bit of an update, first of all I really suck at documenting stuff so there's that. As far as the wooden die body idea, every time I tried machining that on my wood lathe my lathe gouges would snag up on the end grain and would pretty much just disintegrate the piece I was working on, so I contacte...

My CBH Bender Build
Seems to be the trend that the newbies here build a bender, so here is my attempt so far. http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag302/drivermark/BENDER%20BUILD%20001_zps3ak1x98f.jpg Was able to score 1/2"x2" material at the local scrap yard for $.50lb so I picked up enough for a couple of be...

Re: La Puttana ------Build------ Ride her hard, Sell her Che
Hey, relatively new guy here. First of all I'd like to say, I've read through your build threads and you do awesome work. I especially like your Fractured Lacerations build, Making your own I beam frame that was just excellent! And with this build, the lace paint job and the engraving on the motor, ...

Hello Everyone, I'm a new member of the board here and I have been reading a lot of the topics and posts trying to learn as much as I can and have run across a lot of references to the "old board" and website and thought that I would throw this out for anyone that was unaware of it. Google...

Re: Another bender build
Hello, Let me start by saying I'm a newbie here and yes, I know this thread is a couple years old, but I really like the design of this bender (I'm assuming it is a JD2 clone) and I was wondering where on the main site (as indicated in the opening post) it was located. I found the plans for the CBH ...
