The Chopper Compendium

Hey what's up y'all. Glad I found this site again. I was a member of the old board under the name JV. I deployed and when I came back the website was dead. Glad I googled chopperbuilderhandbook on a whim when I was bored. I don't currently have a bike (at least not in the same part of the country) but in the near future I am gonna pick up a sportster or a buell to chop. I have only had a couple of bikes and only built one so I am happy to be on a site with so much knowledge. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to share more knowledge then I have taken. Thanks y'all.

Thanks y'all your appreciation means alot. I actually retire Wednesday. I have no clue how to be a civilian. Really looking forward to starting a project. I have confidence that I can do anything but weld. Looking forward to picking y'alls brains.

Congrats on the retirement, that is a hell of an achievement. If you can retire from the military, you can weld...

I can weld a little bit. Wouldn't want to bet my life on it though.

Welcome back and congrats on getting to retirement. I am half way to my 20. Welding is fun, I started my learning at a local community college, after that it is practice practice and more practice. Good luck on your next project, just got my Ironhead back on the raod but going to be changing it again soon.
