figured i'd start a build log for this here motorsickle.

i've been trying to move forward on this but we all know how that goes.

so i'm at bill hollands shop and he has a gun site lazer, you screw this into the barrel to adjust your sites or in this case into the lower tree to center the stem.

i don't trust my welding so i had bill do it for me.

i'm going to take my frame over to bill to weld up my neck next week. stay tooned.

SELF INTRODUCTION: I'm a Kentucky boy who's found himself transplanted into Japan. been into turning wrenches as long as i can remember. i love muscle cars, hotrod bikes, and the martial arts.

been a member of this board since back when it was a part of Chopperweb. been handling the tech side and sharing the admin duties for several years now.

since i changed the stem 6 degrees i needed to modify the top clamp to get it to work. so i cut it like this then i clamped and bolted everything down and welded it up. taking the frame to bills tomorrow to get it welded.

Nice!

You may want to stress relive the welds by heating evenly and cooling slowly?????

But that looks like some great fab work!

You can not even tell it was welded!!

this is another bike. i'm riding/working the bugs out of the yellow bike. just about done with the frame and front end. then i can fit the motor,primary and everything else.

SELF INTRODUCTION: I was on the old forum, I have more tools and more projects now, I have a wide range of projects , home built boats, a few buggies, snowmachines and a few snowhawks, latly I have been collecting old broken machines most recently a marvel roll in bandsaw, and a old lathe that needs some love from 1908, and about 10 bike projects, most were not running when i got them , same with my mill and bandsaw I had to get them operable. Looking to further my knowledge and share what i can offer..

my yearly update. this thing is coming along slowly but shirley. got a few more things like the starter,tranny sprocket,springer front rocker rebuild,wiring and seat mount plus a few other odds and ends and hopefully be good to go.
