Bought the steel for the axle plates today will work on them tonight.

build a girder the same way and use short sections of tubing in the drilled holes and it will drastically improve the strength of the unit ( welded in tubing should be less than the width of the strips used to make the sides from ) ! Sand blast it and it would be hard to tell it from a casting !

Just for you friend I will give advance of my design for the front end it may be crazy or just plain stupid?

I will make a set of I beam forks that bolt fixed to the trees.

The lower part will have a set of springer rockers hopefully Sugarbear style.

About half way up the legs will be a set of 2 links like on a girder fixed in between the legs.

The springer rocker tubes will connect to them with a pin/bolt set screwed in position.

In between the the 2 links will be a shock off the back of a old jap bike. The top mount eyelet of it will be fixed to lower tree.

As the rocker on wheel moves it will rotate the links up and compress the shock.

Made some axle plates.

You might want to think about geting some width around the head stock, with longer forks it will probably wander like a drunken sailor if you done stiffen it up a bit.

Spent the night alighning everything.

Got the rear axle plates set in position.

I will be able to run the rails straight I beam all the way back with 1/2 inch clearance on the chain as it passes.

Frame rails will be 12.625 wide/width of the bike.

Made a carriage for my jig for the lower rails to sit on while in the jig.

Next week will make lower rails.

Tacked the downtube thing whatever down and tacked the back bone thing also.

Nothing tacked at neck yet.

Made the centers for the lower rails.

I caint find that post either , The oldest entry is newer than that ! I did send you a picture of that drawing when we were corresponding over that Clutch/Shifter idea for La Putanya ! If you make a set of 4 identical rockers so that the top ones are installed upside down as compared to the wheel rockers it will make the moving part of your parallelogram suspension truly parallel !!
