Re: new project
Looking good Curt, project is finally coming together. I've never been real big on the coffin tanks but that one pulls it all together real nice.
Nice clean looking donor, what how many miles she got on her?
"i really need to find some time to figure out bars"
Any ideas on what bars your going to use? What's the seat? Home built or????
Looks good.

Re: new project
Looks awesome one thing I forgot to ask. Earlier, on this thread you were asking about dimensions for the tank. Did you build that puppy or find one already built that you liked? Like i said coffin tanks don't usually do it for me but that one came out real nice. Most the ones I've seen before were a bit taller and looked out of proportion but yours is killer. Not as tall as others I've seen and looks like it fits like a glove. Two big thumbs up

got a little time to mess around today look at that gap between the rear mount and the motor. thats from a factory bike 15 thou on the clock and never touched before . no shim at all i pulled the rear bolts first dont know how it didnt break the front off they just reefed it down its hard to see in the pic but its a touch over an 1/8 of an inch

Re: new project
I would guess that if rubber mounted everything would be less apt to crack from vibration. Just my 2 cents.
Project is coming along nicely.

- SELF INTRODUCTION: Hi Dan, thanks for your time and energy spent on this new board. I hope you will give me a waiver on the email account, I have used gmail so long I don't have a clue what my service provider account is.
I just returned home from a 2 week trip in New Mexico, have a few good pix, can't wait to share my off-highway traveling. Got to put 1400 miles on the scoot.

Getting back in the swing of things slowly. Just realized I've been missing out on this build. Here is a Prism tail section I gound a few days ago, not a coffin, but maybe it will help if you haven't found what your looking for.

Really like everything you're doing, great stance. How did you come to have a 45 degree rake? I love it, just wondering if there is a certain reason, or mainly for looks.
I love it.
