Re: jig adjustments
This is what I got from the drawings tell me if anything is off when you measure it and we will change to be right.
1. I could not get the overall length right off the front of neck but the back of lower tube of neck could get close.
2. I suspect there is a slight angle difference between the back bone and the upper tubes on the hardtail? I got 4 degrees difference the best I could do and make look right to me with the drawings and the pictures?
3. The front mount tabs are really lost to me on there location right now?
4. Not knowing a angle for the axle plates and tubes in the rear had to take my best guess?
5. Tried to research and find the neck angle for the bike but, could not find 35 degrees worked the best with what measurements I had or it seemed to me anyway?
6. Took a guess at all the mounting bolt sizes?
Here is what I got now?
Do not worry about the sharpness of the frame in drawing right now. After it is perfected I can put the radius in on all the tube bends and dimension them.

Re: jig adjustments
we should have some plans for everyone soon in the plans section . custom doing a real nice job drawing these up . should be able to drop any unit 650 or 750 triumph in . I realize there isn't too many of us old brit bike chopper fans left but the few of us that are left will at least have some real plans to go by now .

Re: jig adjustments
The bad news curt. I lost the draftsight file of the cad on this!
The GOOD news is it is now made in AutoCad.
Sorry I took so long.
Autocad file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/naz0dge86y5hw ... e.dwg?dl=0
Screen shot we will find a way for you to review it.
Maybe Gary will open it up and put his real COOL Chopper Builders Handbook Banner Logo on the print?

Re: jig adjustments
curt has checked the print says it is GOOD!
I have revised the print and radius the tubes in the Top and Front view and also made the text in the dimensions larger easier to read.
This is the CAD drawing file.

- SELF INTRODUCTION: I'm just an old chopper builders who still dabbles in the craft and I hope that I can contribute something to the discussions as time goes by. Most of you already know that I started the Chopper Builders Handbook site so you're probably already familiar with my philosophy on choppers and chopper work.

Re: jig adjustments
Great work on that frame design but if you look into some of the data derived from structural studies on cycle frames you'll find that it is best not to make the neck tube part of the structural spaceframe. I've talked about this before. It's best to terminate the downtube into the backbone and then just brace the neck tube back into the downtube. It also make the frame easier to build in the first place and modify if needed down the road to change the rake angle.

Re: jig adjustments
The neck, downtube, engine cradle, and backbone are using the stock 69 triumph frame.
This print was basically to show how to assemble the hardtail on a stock triumph frame.
We added all the motor and stock frame dimensions because they do not exist anywhere in print.

- SELF INTRODUCTION: I was on the last board as bonustoolkit. I have changed that to my given name.
I started a project build there " File and Fit." I paln to continue that when I go back home in Dec. 2011. I first joined the board when Gary W had it in the year 2005. That was the time I really gained an interest in building chops. I have a long way to go, compared to some here.
