Really like everything you're doing, great stance. How did you come to have a 45 degree rake? I love it, just wondering if there is a certain reason, or mainly for looks.

i havent got a real lot of pics or progress lately but here we are . the seat is final mounted , the gas tank front mount is where it needs to be the tank is level with the bottom rails easy thing with the flat on the coffin . the rear has to wait till i finish welding the top motor mount because it falls where im going to have to weld it to the motor mount . the oil tank is where its going to be . brake lines are in didnt get pic of chain tensioner but its in . found a tiny lithium battery fits under the trans nice have to fab up some brackets . 2- 4 day weekends coming up in a row so im hoping to get the majority of the wire harness switched over ill try to get better pics . cant figure out handlebars yey think my mind is just too clouded up lately oh and i got all the mounts for the exhaust and coil and rear chain and key switch all on gotta get more pics .

Coming along nicely Curt.The new location for the oil tank will sure help cool it. I'm sure you considered damage from road debris. If anything punctures it you'll have bigger things to be worrying about.
I like it. A lot.

im a little worried about curb hopping but ya it should run cooler clears up a ton of room under the seat . it is up higher than it looks in the pics but if i have problems with small punctures ill put some kind of scoop around it i think and thanks

If you hop a curb you'll have a lot of other low hanging fruit to worry about.
Doubt you'll be doing that. You can move it up a little if you need to.
Looks like the wall thickness will take a hard hit.

picked up a new toy not as good as my old southbend 9 but it has a few features im starting to like . electronic leadscrew and the 1 1/2 through hole for making those perfect same length springer legs . i need to learn how to make the spuds for the bottom now . but back to the chop soon

Looks handy for a lot of different parts. Pegs, grips, light stems, brackets.
Maybe some turning of thin gauge. Light buckets...
